A wonderful thing happened on the way to finishing this classic from Estes. I became a daddy. That's right MAX arrived somewhere between the grain sealer coats and the primer. Powered by a 24mm engine, the Big Daddy has been issued and reissued by Estes in different forms throughout the years. For us it marked our first application of decals utilizing the Microscale family of products. Microscale liquids ease the application, positioning, adherance and endurance of water slide decals.. Now that we've tried em', we're set. The decals look like they were painted on. Big Daddy's 3" diameter air frame requires at least 22 Newtons of thrust to leave the pad and he can reach 900 feet on an E engine. A colorful 24" parachute brings Big Daddy home safely.
