The National Sleep Foundation

I have found The National Sleep Foundation to be a very valuable source of information. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and if they don't know the answer, they can usually at least point you in the right direction.

A.W.A.K.E. (Alert Well And Keeping E nergetic)

A.W.A.K.E. NEW YORK is a local support group designed to help people with sleep apnea. Our goal is to educate patients, physicians, and the general public on diagnosis and treatment of sleep apnea.

Members include patients who have been diagnosed with sleep apnea, their family and friends.

The group meets about five times a year, and provides an environment for social contact to ease the isolation brought on by sleep apnea and its treatment.

A.W.A.K.E. New York gives you an opportunity to share your concerns with people who have similar experiences and special expertise.

Meetings include lectures to educate members on topics related to sleep apnea and general health concerns. We encourage everyone to provide ideas for topics.

Members receive support from family, friends, technologists, physicians and home care specialists.
